The Heat Pump Water Heat lab is used for testing and comparing the performance of various heat pump water heaters. The lab is capable of testing up to 4 heaters simultaneously. The lab may be used for evaluating the energy efficiency of the heaters. CGM provided consulting on the various control elements of the system and provided design, development, and integration of the data acquisition and control elements of the system.
The lab has two large displays, a small HMI, and a management display with a keyboard and mouse. The left-hand display shows real-time data as well as user-select slide shows and or videos.
The right-hand display presents a graphical representation of the system with real-time data and discrete control element states shown. This screen is also capable of showing images and videos.
HMI
The HMI is used to configure the data type displayed on the LH monitor.
Management Computer
Software
The management computer provides the interface for the configuration of the test recipes. The operator navigation the software starting from the main menu. User access to various submenus is controlled by the access level of the user.
